The speakers for this year’s Wisconsin Senior Safety Resource Fair have been announced. The theme of the resource fair is AI and Aging Safely.
Dave Friedman, DaveTutors.com in Madison, Wisc., will speak at 8:45am. AI is quickly becoming part of everyday life. Dave will give an introduction to AI and how it is increasingly a part of modern life. Attendees will learn how AI works, what they need to know to use it wisely, and best practices for avoiding AI-enabled scams and misleading information. This practical introduction will help you become a more informed AI user.
Ann Wieben, PhD, RN, and Diana Love, PhD, RN, both professors in the School of Nursing at the University of Wisconsin – Madison, will speak on the topic of how AI tools can support our health, daily safety, and independence as we age in place. Part of Dr Wieben’s research directly addresses generative AI applications in nursing and caregiving.
