Would you like to know more about using your smartphone camera and how to backup and manage all of the memories you’ve captured with it? Join us for a fun, relaxed intro to smartphone cameras and a hands-on workshop using the Google Photos App Friday, September 25 from 9:45 a.m. – 12:15 p.m. at the RSVP office.
Hour 1: Intro to Smartphone Photography
We’ll discuss common camera icons on Android and iPhone devices, simple editing tools, managing and sharing your photos, and editing date and location details on your phone. We’ll also go over how to check your camera settings so that it can scan QR codes.
Hour 2: Using the Google Photos App Workshop
Google Photos is one of the most popular photo sharing and cloud storage platforms. This hands-on workshop explores some of the basic features of the Google Photos app and will walk you through the steps of backing up your photos on your smartphone or mobile device to Google Photos. You’ll also learn how to create an album and share it.
Class Details and Schedule:
- 9:45 a.m. – Welcome coffee, tea and donuts
- 10:00 a.m. – Class begins
- 12:15 p.m. – Light lunch and conversation
- Devices: Bring your smartphone! If you can, please install the Google Photos app. We can also help you install the app when you get to class. If you’d like to see how Google Photos works on a laptop, bring your laptop, too. We’ll also have Windows laptops you can borrow.

- Finding Us: Take the elevator to the 2nd floor, then turn right and go to the end of the hallway. (If you can take the stairs, turn left and go to the end of the hallway.
Space is limited to 10 participants. Please only register if you are certain you can attend so that we don’t leave anyone out.
