Seeing isn’t always believing anymore. With today’s AI tools, fake images, deepfakes, and cloned voices are easier to make—and harder to spot—than ever before. Join us for an eye-opening class to learn how to navigate this new technology safely and creatively.
Hour 1: Disinformation & Deepfakes
Discover how AI is used to create realistic deepfakes and audio clones. We’ll cover red flags to watch for, practical strategies for evaluating online information, and tech tools that help you distinguish real content from fake.
Hour 2: Unleash Your Imagination with AI Image Generators
Go beyond simple drawings and bring your ideas to life! Learn how AI can turn simple word prompts into stunning artwork and realistic photos in seconds. We’ll demonstrate popular AI image generators, explore artistic styles, and share simple prompting tips so you can start creating your own images.
Class Details and Schedule:
- 9:45 a.m. – Welcome coffee, tea and donuts
- 10:00 a.m. – Class begins promptly
- 12:15 p.m. – Light lunch and conversation with Senior Planet Trainers
- Devices: Bring your smartphone, laptop/tablet or both if you’d like to try these tools a bit while we discuss them. We also have Windows laptops you can borrow.

- Parking: Available on the street and in the lot behind the building
- Finding Us: Take the elevator to the 2nd floor, then turn right and go to the end of the hallway. (If you can take the stairs, turn left and go to the end of the hallway.
