Our next Senior Planet tech skills class will be September 26 and will focus on Streaming and Smart TVs with a workshop on Streaming with Tubi. You must register to attend since the class is limited to ten participants per class. Please use this online registration form to sign up.
We will begin at 9:45 with coffee/tea and donuts, and class will begin promptly at 10:00. In the first hour, we will focus on Streaming and Smart TVs. Every day, more and more people are “cutting the cord” and canceling their cable subscriptions. Instead, they’re using free or low-cost streaming services like YouTube, Netflix, Hulu and Tubi to watch their favorite shows and movies online. This presentation will introduce streaming: what it is, how to use it, and the variety of content available. You’ll also learn how to watch live TV without cable and how smart TVs and streaming devices can let you watch videos from the Internet on your television.
In the second hour we’ll get some hands-on practice with Tubi, a popular free online streaming service and app. Tubi offers thousands of movies and TV shows. During this hands-on workshop, you’ll learn how to sign up for a Tubi account. You’ll also learn how to search for and save movies and TV shows.
We’ll finish at 12:15 and have a light lunch and a chance to talk more with each other and the Senior Planet Trainers.
To attend, please register using this online form. Bring your smartphone and/or your laptop. If you need a laptop we have Windows laptops you can borrow. Class will be held at the RSVP office, 6501 Watts Rd Suite 250, Madison. Parking is available on the street and in the parking lot behind the building. The RSVP office is on the second floor.
