Google Maps can help you look up an address or get directions. But it’s a lot more than a map on your smartphone. It’s a travel encyclopedia right on your smartphone. You’ll learn, of course, how Google Maps can help you get from point A to B with confidence! But we’ll go beyond that. You’ll learn how to explore the world from the comfort of your home, get a bird’s-eye-view of your childhood neighborhood, and even see the inside of the British Museum or the Louvre! The Google Maps app offers satellite imagery, street maps, and street-view perspectives. It also has a route planner for your preferred transportation method, be it on foot, car, bicycle or public transportation. And, Google Maps offers links on the map to a wealth of information about the area you’re exploring. During this lecture, you’ll get an introduction to the platform and a demonstration of how to use it.
The hands-on workshop will help you learn to use the Airbnb app to find great alternatives to hotels when you’re looking for your home away from home. In this workshop, you’ll learn the basics of how to use the Airbnb app. We’ll walk through the whole process of booking a stay, from searching to paying, and managing your reservations. And we’ll also review best practices to eliminate surprises when you arrive at your destination.
We’ll finish at 12:15 and have a light lunch and a chance to talk more with each other and the Senior Planet Trainers.

Class will be held at the RSVP office, 6501 Watts Rd Suite 250, Madison. Parking is available on the street and in the parking lot behind the building. The RSVP office is on the second floor. Take the elevator to the second floor then turn right and go to the end of the hallway. You can also take the stairs then take a left and go to the end of the hallway.
