Our next Senior Planet tech skills class is on Friday, August 14 from 9:45 a.m. – 12:15 p.m. at the RSVP office.
Are you concerned with your online privacy? Wondering which cookies to accept, or if your personal information is truly secure? Come learn essential skills to protect yourself in cyberspace!
We’ll Cover:
- Hour 1 (Online Privacy): We’ll review how online ads target us, how to limit tracking, and where to adjust browser settings and extensions to control data. We’ll also discuss key features of password managers and why they’re a safe option.
- Hour 2 (Online Security): We’ll dive into protecting your personal information. You’ll learn tips for safe browsing, how to recognize online scams, and when it is — or isn’t — safe to share your information online.
Class Details and Schedule:
- 9:45 a.m. – Welcome coffee, tea and donuts
- 10:00 a.m. – Class begins promptly
- 12:15 p.m. – Light lunch and conversation with Senior Planet Trainers
Location and Directions:
RSVP Office 6501 Watts Road, Suite 250, Madison.
- Parking: Available on the street and in the lot behind the building
- Finding Us: Take the elevator to the 2nd floor, then turn right and go to the end of the hallway. (If you can take the stairs, turn left and go to the end of the hallway.
- Devices: You are welcome to bring your smartphone or laptop. Windows laptops will also be available to borrow.

Space is limited to 10 participants. Please only register if you are certain you can attend so that we don’t leave anyone out.
