Our next Senior Planet tech skills class is May 22 from 9:45-12:15 and will focus on Managing Your Privacy with a workshop about Staying Safe Online. Are you concerned about privacy? Are you unsure about accepting cookies? Come learn about some essential privacy tips! In the first hour, we’ll review how ads target us online, how to limit tracking, where to find browser settings and extensions to better control how our information is shared. We’ll also discuss some of the key features of password managers and why they’re a safe and secure option.
In the second hour, this hands-on workshop will review important tips for keeping your personal information safe while enjoying the benefits of the internet. Learn how to recognize suspicious emails, tips for safe browsing and best practices for shopping online. Bring your laptop, smartphone or borrow one of our Windows 11 laptops.

Class will be held at the RSVP office, 6501 Watts Road, Suite 250, Madison. We will begin at 9:45 with coffee/tea and donuts, and class will start promptly at 10:00. We will finish with a light lunch at 12:15 and a chance to talk more with each other and the Senior Planet Trainers.
Parking is available on the street and in the parking lot behind the building. The RSVP office is on the second floor. Take the elevator to the second floor, then turn right and go to the end of the hallway. You can also take the stairs, then take a left and go to the end of the hallway. You’re welcome to bring your smartphone and laptop to use in the workshop. And we will have Windows laptops you can borrow.
