Veterans who are continuing their tradition of service as RSVP volunteers will be honored at a special luncheon on November 10. Over 150 veterans serve as RSVP volunteers. They help their communities by transporting other vets to medical appointments; serving at Dryhooch, the Vet's coffee shop; and working at the VA Hospital and other community organizations. Attendees will receive a commemorative pin from the national RSVP organization as part of a national Veteran's Day recognition effort. For more information about the event, contact Tom Poppe at RSVP, at 238-7901, or through email at .
