A Bus Buddy Tour offers a fun way for seniors (60+) to see a Madison attraction and also learn to use the Madison Metro bus. For 2017, there are five different hometown tours to pick from.
Friday, March 24 - Multicultural Health Fair at North East Side Senior Coalition
Wednesday, May 17 - Madison Science Museum
Wednesday, June 7 - Henry Vilas Zoo
Thursday, July 13 - Wisconsin Veterans Museum
Thursday, August 17 - Hands-on project at Bubbler Room, Madison Public Library
Each tour includes a free lunch, and participants receive a Bus Buddy Tour bag including a 10-ride bus pass and Madison Metro Bus Ride Guide. If you are interested in a tour, contact Diana Jost at 608-441-1393 or .
RSVP also offers individualized instruction on using the bus. You can schedule your individual instruction for anytime, seven days a week, by contacting Jan Karst at 608-441-7891 or .
The Bus Buddy Program, now in its 4th season, is funded by Dane County Human Services and AAA. It is designed to increase seniors' independence by helping them become comfortable using the city bus - for shopping, medical appointments or just getting to a fun event!
