Where Volunteers Make a Difference

In this winter preparedness presentation, we will talk about safely navigating your home—and yourself—through the icy months ahead. Presenters Jim Jenkins, retired Wisconsin law enforcement officer and Ed Ruckriegel, Madison fire marshal and emergency operations coordinator, will discuss home preparedness, power outage, and safe driving and walking techniques. Join us on Zoom on December 3 at 10:00 a.m. To register and receive the Zoom link, email .

Triad brings together older adults, law enforcement and the community at-large to promote safety and reduce the fear of crime. Providing vital information about personal safety and crime prevention is key to our mission. We invite you to become an active participant in Triad activities. Volunteers are a key element in our success. To get involved, email Mike Thomsen at or call (608) 441-7897.

Volunteers Tell Us

Provides Structure to My Days
“Volunteering has put me in touch with people I would not have normally met. Introduced me to others from different cultural backgrounds. Helped provide structure to my days.”
