| What is the Epics
Program?
Epics is an innovative, award
winning course offered through the University of Wisconsin -
Madison, which creates partnerships between academically diverse
students and local non-profit organizations in an effort to
support community development.
What does Epics do?
While interacting within the
large group, students and volunteers, consisting of 7-10
members, simultaneously manage their own consulting projects. |

They function as independent design
firms, analyzing the needs of their specific community agency.
Once those needs are determined, the proposals are designed, tested, and
implemented into the organization's operations.
We need YOU to share your
skills!
Whether you're facilitating better futures for
children, making it easier for the needs of the homeless to be met,
helping to sustain our environment, working on behalf of social/welfare
programs, expanding information systems, or beyond; Epics allows
citizens to uplift the community around them.
The Epics Program is adding an intergenerational
component and seeks working and retired volunteers to join as part of
the student teams, or as leaders of separate, interdisciplinary learning
groups.
Experience and expertise for these Functional
Groups is sought in areas including, but not limited to:
