through RSVP?
RSVP specializes in offering volunteer placement
services for adults who are age 55 or more. We provide personal services to
match your interests, abilities, and preferences with agency
requests for volunteers. We're committed to you throughout the years of
your volunteer career. When you want a different volunteer placement, we
have the staff and resources to help you find that next assignment, too. If
you have difficulties in your current volunteer assignment, we're there to
help.

making strong placements, offering training and support whenever needed.
How long has RSVP been providing
this service?
Nationally, RSVP was formed in 1971. RSVP of Dane
County, Inc. has enjoyed a strong and growing program since it began in
1972.
How do you find the right
volunteer opportunity for me....I don’t even know what I want to do?
Our trained staff are here to assist you. We'll
begin by meeting with you and learning about the things you enjoy, your
hobbies, your past experiences, and your time availability. Based on what we
hear, we'll suggest some current volunteer opportunities that might be of
interest to you. Together we'll decide which opportunity sounds best for
you. Then our staff person will make the arrangements for you to visit the
volunteer site, and you'll decide if it is something you would like to do.
Who can volunteer with RSVP?
RSVP serves all adults who are age 55 or more and
recruits some younger volunteers in assignments. We
also work with adults of any age who have physical limitations.
Why are hours so important?
Those who help fund our program, as well
as those who review our grant requests, want to know about the impact our
volunteers have in the community. We're required to report the number of
RSVP volunteers and their total hours, as well as other details about our
organization.
